Research Interests and Publications
Die Ros' ist ohn' Warum; sie blühet, weil sie blühet
Sie acht' nicht ihrer selbst, fragt nicht, ob man sie siehet.
(Silesius, 1657)
Operations research is my field of activity. My research is mainly concerned with combinatorial algorithms with applications to scheduling, logistics, manufacturing and transportation systems.
My work includes the design and analysis of decision models for resource allocation, the characterisation of computational complexity, and the design of exact and approximate algorithms for multi-agent and nonlinear combinatorial optimization problems. I also design and implement simulation models for evaluating control policies in complex systems. An updated list is available on my publications page.
